Les Kaolins is a beautiful complex of 5 spring fed lakes, (32 acres) situated in their own private woodland of 85 acres. Although easily accessible, the nearest road is 1 km from the lakes – the perfect carp fishing haven.

These former kaolin pits were left to fill naturally over 40 years ago, creating our stunning Carp lakes. We now have a well established natural fish population, with a superb mix of wild carp, roach, perch and pike. These have been left to mature, with very little fishing pressure, over the decades.

This winter (2009/10), we have introduced in excess of 300 new carp, commons, grass and mirrors, including some linear, up to 40+ pounds. We also added a dozen large catfish, some sturgeon, and our lucky Koi carp – Kevin!
